Class 5 - Part #4 Call Issued at the Time Second Life Was De-listed

There are many concerns regarding dangers and liabilities in the virtual world with children entering Second Life due to offensive content and anonymous users,  and this call was issued at the following site: http://mediagrid.org/news/2010-04_Call_For_Legal_Opinions_On_Second_Life.html .  It is recommended that educators don't let students utilize this virtual world, and if they are, there will be signing off of their liability for participation.  You can read more about it at the following link.  Basically Second Life was replaced by Open Simulator because of these liabilities and grievances.

Rocket World, the virtual world we have been utilizing in this class, was built on Open Simulator.
